Question: We keep hearing show us your budget plan from the Republicans/TEA party?
But I’ve yet to hear anything specific from them. All we know is they want to take money from the poor and give it to the rich. Is this not a fair assessment?

The chamber will vote Tuesday on the plan to let the government borrow another $ 2.4 trillion — but only after big and immediate spending cuts and adoption by Congress of a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced federal budget.

The plan is doomed in the Democratic-controlled Senate, and the White House has promised a veto.

The cut, cap and balance measure — and the veto threat issued Monday — sparked the latest in predictable tit-for-tat exchanges between combatants of Capitol Hill and in the White House, even as it was revealed that President Barack Obama hosted House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., at the White House on Sunday.

“We’re making progress,” Obama reported.

But the White House attacked the cut, cap and balance idea as an assault on cherished programs. The measure doesn’t contain any actual spending cuts but promises they will be made in the future.

“What we are witnessing here with this measure is classic Washington posturing, kabuki theater,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney, adding that the measure would “dismantle … our social safety net: Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.”

Now seeing as the very same people who brought the economy down are doing great financially now, they’ve never been made to compensate any of the millions who have lost their nest eggs and home or even offer an apology. They in fact took the TARP money and handed them out as bonuses. These people would still allow the country to default rather than chip in. Or at least rape the poor and the elderly to get the money. I just don’t know how these things can sleep at night. I for one am about to tell them go ahead, destroy the economy, let’s all go down together. Am I wrong? am I alone believing that they are holding the country hostage? Am I alone in being willing to crash the economy to chase these vermin from our shores so our children will be free of them. Because their greed will never end, let’s get to the inevitable and start rebuilding the country without them. I’ve had it.
I only copied a couple of paragraphs and what I said is the truth.
Tim, if you read the question you would know that they don’t have sheit on the table. They just say they are going to cut $ 4 Trillion dollars. They don’t say where but we all know it’ll be from our social safety nets. You call that a budget? Obama’s is much the same, he wants to make cuts but can’t get the Republicans to sit down and talk about it. It’s amazing that you are fooled so easily. Why can’t the right understand that most of the debt was a result of repairing GW’s phuq ups? TEA partiers are a danger to the nation, they should sit down and shut up. See what you elect when driven by fear?
Ryan’s plan? if you call that a plan how come he can’t even get Republicans to support it?

Fact is they want to strip the working class of what they have left to please the the “job providers”.

What a load of carp. 8 years under Bush alone haven’t done it. It didn’t work under Reagan or HW either. When will you wake up to this fairytale?

Nice rant and it is either a cut and paste by someone that doesn’t understand the news or someone that is proud of being ignorant of fact.

I’ll teach.

Question: Is this a good xmas present? Tickets to the “Cabaret Theatre” Comedy show @ Mohegan Sun for New Years Eve?
These tickets would be for my fiance and me. I want to give them to him as an xmas present – put the tickets inside a new wallet for him (he does need a new wallet) So this would involve us spending new years eve at mohegan sun (the casino) I would also get a room up there. Only thing is, we would have to leave our 5 yr old with Grandma. Which is totally fine. And for the record, we have spent the past few new years home. So does this sound like a good gift? If we arent able to make it for some reason, which prob wouldnt happen …. we can always sell them or give them away last minute.

Any Pixar movie. some of the best demo material.

Star trek- video is very good, great sound.

Transformers (1st) great audio, good video. Didn’t like (2 as well)

Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy – very good video, fun movie

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds live at Radio City. One of the best Music videos I’ve seen. Picture is incredible –

you should be safe with almost any new release, be very careful with old re-releases. the picture isn’t that good on most, I was unhappy with Gladiator. Stay away from Harry Potters the picture sucked on the last two. I’m not going to waste my money on the first movies until I see them in person.
